The Bay Beat is a cooperative multimedia project of advanced journalism students at the Philip Merrill College of Journalism at the University of Maryland, College Park. The college's Capital News Service bureaus in Annapolis and Washington, its broadcast news team at CNS TV and the reporters and producers of its online magazine Maryland Newsline share the main roles for maintaining the site.
